Swirl Plus Mouthwash 500ml ~ Product Recall

We were notified by the manufacturer OrthoCare UK that they were discontinuing this product in October due to a cosmetic issue. More specifically, we were informed the colour wasn’t quite correct as the product was sometimes turning a little cloudy. This product was immediately removed from sale on all our platforms.

However, there has now been a gov.com product recall for this, please find the link below for further information ~ https://www.gov.uk/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls/product-recall-swirl-plus-500ml-and-30ml-mouthwash-2312-0087

Several batches have been identified as presenting a microbiological risk as they contain a high count of aerobic mesophilic microorganisms. Further investigation indicated that the high count was due to the presence of an unidentified pseudomonas species. The product does not meet the requirements of Regulation 1223/2009 or the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013.

As not all the products have been affected, the recall is identified by specific batch numbers. If you have any of the affected batches, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via email at enquiries@dental-aesthetics.co.uk providing a photo of the lot number usually located on the bottom of the bottle and your order number, once we have this information we will be able to reimburse you for your purchase.

What’s the difference between FDC Flexible Denture Cleaner and Val-Clean – and which one should I use?

FDC Flexible Denture Cleaner is designed to make daily denture care as simple and hassle-free as possible.

Each box contains 12 pre-measured sachets, with one sachet providing enough solution for 7-10 days of daily 15-minute soaks – meaning a single box can last up to 3 months.

If you have stain which are not improving from daily cleaning, then your appliance can be returned to the lab that made them where they should be able ot polish out some of the tougher stains.
