Orthodontic wax is a great relief for many patients with fixed braces; especially with new braces.
Fixed braces are usually made from metal brackets and wires; these can rub against the inside of your mouth and gums making them sore. Applying orthodontic wax to the offending part of the brace will make you more comfortable.

We stock this clear ortho wax in the following scents : Mint, Cherry, Bubblegum, Grape, or Blueberry.

How to Use Orthodontic Wax
Break off a pea-sized piece from one of the sticks (there’s five sticks in each little box). Roll the wax between your fingers and push it onto the area of the brace which is causing you pain.
IMPORTANT : The bracket and wax must be dry for the product to work.
Put the Orthodontic Wax over and behind the bracket to give the wax something to stick to; don’t try and stick it to your teeth!

Ideally remove the wax when you eat to stop the wax from sticking to your food and coming away from your braces. If it’s too painful to eat without the wax then always replace with fresh wax after eating. If you accidently swallow the wax, don’t panic; it’s made from natural wax so it isn’t dangerous.

Always remove the wax before brushing your teeth as it will stick to the toothbrush bristles….and your teeth definitely won’t get a good clean!
Wax can break down by itself and become loose, otherwise a toothpick will help you to remove it.
It’s safe to sleep with wax on your braces.

Clear Orthodontic Wax 

Orthodontic wax is an essential item for many patients undergoing ortho treatment with fixed braces; especially new patients in those first few weeks! Metal brackets and wires can rub against the inside of your mouth and gums, very quickly causing them to become sore. A small application of orthodontic wax to the offending part of the appliance will make you more comfortable. 

How to Use Orthodontic Wax Break off a small piece of wax from one of the sticks, gently roll it between your fingers to warm it up and then push it onto the brace which is causing you irritation. IMPORTANT : The bracket and wax must be dry for the product to work. Put the Orthodontic Wax over and behind the bracket to give the wax something to adhere to; don’t try and stick it to your teeth!
